I was invited to the Kapalua Spa yesterday for a preview of their brand new facility. Being a HUGE fan of massage therapies, of course I didn’t miss a chance to check out this amazing place. My friends and wedding colleagues who are visiting from the Bay Area – Nancy of Nancy Liu Chin Designs and Kevin (aka KC) of Kevin Chin Photography also joined me at this event and we had such an awesome time together!
KC forgot to bring his camera with him, so I gave him my 5D Mark II and boy, he just snapped away! :) Thanks for helping out with the photos, KC!
We were greeted by yummy pupus and drinks. They were all catered by Merriman’s Kapalua. These were the Salad Rolls with a spicy tangy dip:

I didn’t try these but they were hummus of some kind. I love the color though:

These were the ahi poke on a slice of cucumber. LOVE the presentation:

The view that you see from the main lobby… totally breathtaking:

The main lobby and reception area… look at their cool glass ball chandelier:

Yummy mango and blueberry smoothies. They are both on their juice bar menu:

Another view of the main lobby reception area:

The waterfall from the lobby upstairs (view from their fitness center):

My favorite spot of the entire spa, the saline lap pool and sunning deck. Won’t it be great to host a pool party or reception?

Lavender honey scrub from the Ali’i Kula Lavender Farm up in Kula:

One of the 3 stone soaking tubs in the outdoor Hawaiian style massage treatment hales:

There are altogether 10 of these Hawaiian style massage treatment hales, all resemble the ones you will find in Bali, Indonesia:
